Coping Stones

Coping stones are a series of stones running along the top of a freestanding wall, they are the ideal way to complete a wall and to add the overall finishing touch and compliment the style of the property.

The walling and coping stones are also a great way to create the perfect boundary between one property and another in a way that is often sympathetic to the environment in which the property is built.

Besides being a beautiful way to complete a garden wall, coping stones also offer practical solutions to help protect the wall from rain and snow, which given time damage the stone or brick of the wall. Coping stones usually have a slight angle which ensures water eventually falls off them and away from the wall which reduces the amount of water that gets into the overall wall structure. This simple feature increases the overall longevity of the wall structure.

Coping stones come in a variety of shapes and sizes the most common shapes are square or rectangle but we have done projects where half round and triangular have been cut to special order.

At PG Stone (Yorkshire) Ltd we can provide Coping stones to bespoke sizes as usually every job is different. See some examples below.
