Dry Stone Walling

Dry stone walling is a traditional craft in Yorkshire dating back some 600 years as a way of protecting against wolves.  Nowadays they are built to add rural charm and character to properties.  This traditional craft involves laying vertical stacks of stone pieces so they interlock under their weight and does not require mortar to hold the stones together.   Despite the lack of mortar this type of wall is still strong and durable which is why it is still a popular choice for creating a boundary wall today.

Besides being used for boundary walls landscapers use this type of walling to create raised flower beds, bridges, and many other features within the garden
At PG Stone (Yorkshire) Ltd we can provide the stone in its raw state.
